Bifold Doors

  • Bifold doors are quickly becoming our most popular product due to their stylish design that helps to maximise space and light in your home. These stunning doors are an ideal way to access your garden, folding back on themselves seamlessly to create an unobstructed view of the outdoors.

Once bifold doors are fully retracted, they provide a large access area to your patio or garden, letting in natural light and a cool breeze on a summer’s day. They are a great way to ventilate your home and add the illusion of space to the room. As a common addition to a kitchen, they are perfect for accommodating al fresco dining in the warmer months.

One of the advantages of bifolding doors is their incredible versatility. There’s no one size fits all with these products, and you can choose whether your doors open from the left or the right, stack inside or outside the frame, and even how many panels make up your doors, which will depend on the size. Add your personal style to your bifold doors with a wide selection of colours and finishes to make sure your doors complement your home.

  • Our sleek aluminium framed bi-fold doors come in a range of contemporary colours and are designed to complement your project. Typically a set of 2 or more standard size glass doors that open in a concertina style and neatly fold flat when open.

Bi-folding doors can also be stacked inside or outside the frame and open from the left or right. The combination of a multi-point locking system, locking shoot-bolts, high security hinges and thermally toughened glass mean our bi-fold Doors are designed to keep the whole family safe.

Will bifold doors add value to my house?

Bifold doors are a great way to add value to your property, especially if they are installed professionally in an accessible location. Having access to the garden or patio area with seamless and stylish bifold doors is a real asset when it comes to selling your home, as they provide your living space with light, warmth, and ventilation. Our doors are all fitted with security and energy efficiency in mind, meaning they are as functional as they are aesthetic.

Are bifold doors better for large or small spaces?

Both! The great thing about bifold doors is they provide maximum outdoor access while taking up minimal space. For large spaces, a well-proportioned bifold door creates unbeatable ventilation and natural light as well as direct access to your garden. For a small space, the doors stack neatly to one side, taking up very little space, and you can opt for outward-opening doors to further minimise this.

How long does it take to install bifold doors?

Our doors are made at our manufacturing workshop, built to your specifications, and once that is completed and they are brought to your home, they can be installed within a day by our experts. The installation process itself is fairly straightforward once we have taken precise measurements, built the doors, and tested their function, which can take around six weeks.

How do bifold doors work?

Bifold doors are made up of several glass panels that sit within frames on hinges. These hinges create a door that folds back on itself to open up space in the door frame for unobstructed access. The doors work on tracks, sliding seamlessly in a concertina style and stack neatly to one side. Come along to our showroom to see how they work for yourself.

Do the doors stack inside or outside the frame?

Once the doors are opened, they stack neatly, like a concertina. You can choose whether they open inwards or outwards, depending on the space. For smaller indoor spaces, an outward stacking door might be preferable, whereas if you have an arrangement of pots directly outside the door, an inward stack might be better. You can also choose a door that opens from the left or from the right, making them a highly versatile option for your home. Contact us to learn more.

Do bifold doors need a bottom track?

Bifold doors are a versatile option for your home, and while a bottom track can ensure more stability with the opening and closing of the door, perhaps you don’t want to cut into your floor. You can opt instead for top-hung doors, which will need to be supported by a strong lintel in order to hold the weight of them.

We refuse to compromise on quality

Our windows are made from British Made, high quality MarinespecTM components, with up to 25 years anti corrosion. They are built specifically for the more exposed areas of corrosion, such as coastal environments to give you worry free performance beyond your guarantee.  We believe spending more on components is worth every penny, and sets us apart from our competitors.

State of the art fabrication for best quality

We have invested millions of pounds into one of the most state of the art manufacturing facilities in the UK.  This enables us to provide you with consistently high quality products at exceptionally good prices. Our loyal factory workers are well trained and take pride in their work, they really care about quality.  Our machines are maintained according to a rigorous servicing regime to keep them in top condition.

Superior energy efficiency

Our ‘A’ rated energy efficient and triple glazed windows are tested by the BFRC, which will save you money on your heating bills. By law your windows and doors have to meet strict thermal performance regulations but you can be rest assured that our products exceed current requirements.

Energy saving is incredibly important and so is keeping your fuel bills down. We are continuously looking for ways to make our projects energy efficient and one way is to choose new PVCu windows and doors. Not only will they help to keep your project warmer, they will reduce your energy loss.

Don’t just take our word for it!

Our suppliers conform to strictly controlled and independently monitored Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001, to ensure that everything is done correctly and according to best practise.

Our windows are tested independently by British Standards for security, weather tightness and strength performance. This means that periodically, we have to send them to independent test houses, in order to be tested to destruction.

These are just some of the many standards the products in our vast range conform to. Needless to say we take the quality of our products very seriously indeed.
